Our Vision |
Our Mission |
|
|
We want to unite girls in our community to introduce them into gaming and help them learn how to play without being judged or afraid of being criticized, and at the same time have fun with fellow sisters and enjoy the rush of adrenaline when playing against one another in tournaments we'll host. |

When you think about gaming, most people quickly think about a male sitting on his computer, playing some intense, heart-racing video game. When you watch E-sports (professional gaming), there is RARELY a female player on stage.
Now, someone may think: perhaps it's because males have more muscles thanks to their biology. Although that may be true, the amount of muscle mass isn't important when it comes to gaming, but rather reflexes and quick thinking. Research has shown that males and females have around the same speed of reflexes and quick thinking abilities.
"We found that if you do not control for the amount of time that they have played or other aspects of game behavior (such as guild membership), then it looks like men level up faster than women. But, when you do control for such factors, then the statistical difference between men and women goes away," said Ratan. "This suggests that the perception that women are not as good at video games as men is simply driven by other factors besides gender, such as the fact that they tend not to play as much as men.", according to Michigan State University research. There is a clear point in the facts: females have just the same amount of capabilities as men do when it comes to gaming.
So why is there not that many girls when it comes to gaming and E-sports? The answer is quite simple really! Men tend to act hostile and aggressive when a female is playing, especially when she is new to a game. "A 2015 study found that lower-skilled male players of Halo 3 were more hostile towards teammates with a female voice, but behaved more submissively to players with a male voice. Higher-skilled male players, on the other hand, behaved more positively towards female players" according to Wikipedia. It is surreal to see how females have been treated but things must change. In conclusion, we've noticed all of this and decided to take a stand. So, team CABVIAR decided to make Project "Girls +Gaming", to help encourage girls into the truly amazing world of gaming and technology and hope for the future that we can help others that are not just only girls into the world of gaming as well.
